Forever Texas (1996)
A note from the Artist
I was born in Tatum, New Mexico on January 30, 1939. I began wood carving and designing figurines around age 12 and have carved & sculpted thousands of pieces since that time. Most are miniatures, 2" or less tall. Look for my pewter being produced by Rawcliff Corp. of Providence Rhode Island called "Boyd Perry's Little America". Also I have a new line of hand painted porcelains that are produced/marketed Bubelino Inc. of Tyler Texas called "The Wind River Ranch". Look for them in gift shops and farm & ranch gift sections across the nation.
Hope you like them.
Thank you.

Rattlesnake Roundup (1996)
The Western Diamondback Rattler is the most common rattler in Texas, though there are four other species in the state. The Rattlesnake only strikes in defense or when hungry, feeding primarily on mice and young rabbits. The Rattlesnake will do all that he can to avoid contact with humans but, mess with him and he will bite you. When the subject of Rattlesnakes comes up most people think of Texas. So be careful and "don't mess with Texas."

The Texas Longhorn (1996)
"The Lone Steer State" The Cattle business in Texas thrived after the Civil War and millions of hardy longhorns from brush country Ranches trampled trails on their way to railroads in Kansas. Texas is the state most noted for its longhorned cattle.
"Hook 'em Texas" The Prickly Pear cactus is also a very prominent Texas resident and it's beautiful flower was once considered the Texas State flower, so when that flower you see, think of me.

Work Boots (1996)
Boots and the Cowboy hat are probably the most familiar attire and the most prominent western wear that depicts the Cowboy and makes him different from all others. The Cowboy bootheel was especially designed to protect the cowhand from slipping his foot through the stirrup of a saddle in case of a fall and being dragged to death by a frightened horse. The Cowboy hat, usually referred to by a trade name of "Stetson" was designed to protect him from the wind, sun and rain. It could also be rolled up to serve as a pillow out on the range. Not too soft but, better than a rock.
With 4-Wheel Drives, motorcycles and helicopters, the real Cowboy is almost extinct along with Cattle Drives and Chuckwagons.

Working Cowboy (1996)
The term "Working Cowboy" is a name given cowboys of late to distinguish between those who just dress the part and those who actually work as CowHands.
This Cowboy looks like the real thing but, either way he has his work cut out for him.
